Luke 12:1-12 – Avoid Hypocrisy, Trust God, Confess Christ

±   I don’t want to be a hypocrite.

±   I don’t want to fear men.

±   I don’t want to be ashamed of Jesus.

Luke 12:13-21 – The Parable of the Rich Fool

±   I don’t want to be a rich fool.

°  I don’t want to settle for less by seeking more,

only to lose all I have.

Luke 12:22-34 – Worrying vs. Trusting

Don’t worry.  Vs. 22-23

Don’t worry about food.  Vs. 24-26

°  Consider the birds.  God feeds the ravens.

°  Consider yourself.  You mean more to God than birds.

°  Consider worry.  It’s good for absolutely nothing.

Don’t worry about clothes.  Vs. 27-30

°  Consider the flowers and the grass. God dresses

the plant life.

°  Consider yourself.  Unlike flowers and grass, God

made you eternal.

°  Consider worry.  It’s the opposite of trusting God.

Do seek God’s Kingdom.  Vs. 31-32

°  Don’t sell yourself short and don’t sell God short.

°  God has made you for something bigger and better

than worrying over the lesser things.

°  God is so much more than a heavenly vending machine.

Do divest and invest what God has given you.  Vs. 33-34

°  What you keep for yourself you will lose.

°  What you give to God, you get to keep.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
