Deeper Truths:
- A disciple makes a life of sharing Christ and caring for hurting people.
- Jesus seems to be teaching His apostles this spiritual equation:
- Nothing + Jesus = Everything you need.
- Maximizing your effectiveness for Christ involves,
- Traveling light and depending on God
- Being a Kingdom Builder rather than comfort seeker
- Investing yourself where Jesus is welcome.
- Moving on when Jesus is rejected.
- Uncertainty about Jesus will persist as long as your knowledge of Him is based on the opinions of others. You must meet Him yourself to settle the question of His identity for yourself.
- The world is at a loss as to who Jesus is.
- He is God’s Son sent from heaven.
Revelation 3:20 - Here I am! I stand at the door and knock, If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
