Jesus in Cahoots with Satan???   Luke 11:14-23

Jesus Does a Miracle, 11:14-16

±   The Exorcism – Jesus cast out the mute-causing demon.

±   The Result – The man spoke.

±   The Reactions:

-          Some marveled.

-          Some were skeptical.

-          Some were uncertain.

Jesus Responds to the Charge of Exorcising Demonic Power

                                                                                              11:17-22

°   It’s Nonsensical  – If I’m an agent of Satan, why would

I be working against him? A divided kingdom will fall!

°   It’s Self-Incriminating – You oppose the work of

Satan. Does that mean you are one of his agents too?

°   It’s an Admission of Jesus’ Superiority – You

acknowledge my authority over demons, that I am

     stronger than the “strong man.”

Jesus Issues a Warning, 11:23

ù  You are either with Jesus, and gathering.

ù  Or you are against Jesus, and scattering.

Good News

û  Jesus Is Stronger – The one who takes captives is not as strong as the one who sets captives free.

û  Jesus Strength Sets Me Free – There is no bond that holds me that Jesus can’t break.

û  Jesus Is Strong Enough - Jesus doesn’t need me defend Him; I need to decide for Him and start gathering.
