What Just Happened Here?

  • Jesus identifies our deepest need the forgiveness of our sins.
  • Jesus defines His saving work as the forgiveness of sins.
  • Jesus connects faith and forgiveness.
  • Lines of opposition are forming and decisions about Jesus will need to be made.
  • Jesus is taking an initial step toward the cross.

One day we will look back at past disappointments and praise God for his wisdom and the working of His will in our lives.

Jesus forgives sins.

Justification is God declaring you righteous in His sight. He forgives your sins and He thinks of Christ’s righteousness as belonging to you.

If God justifies you, no one else can condemn you.
