About Gabriel
- He is an angel sent from God to speak to Zechariah.
- He announces that Zechariah's prayer has been answered.
- He commands that Zechariah name his son John.
About John
- He will be great in the sight of the Lord. Luke 7.28
- He will not drink.
- He will prepare the people for God's great work among them.
About the Crowd
- They prayed outside of the Holy Place.
- They worried about Zechariah's delay.
- They rightly guessed that he had a supernatural encounter.
About Elizabeth
- She conceived.
- She went into seclusion for five months.
- She praised God for taking away her disgrace.
God Removes Our Disgrace - Justification
When we trust in Christ, God declares us righteous in His sight.
- Our sins are forgiven and we now have no penalty to pay for sin.
- There is no condemnation in for those who are in Christ Jesus.
