Men of Honor Bible Study
Church Office
Have you ever thought how amazing it is that God has provided His written Word to us? He didn’t have to tell us anything (!) but chose to speak to us through Scripture. In it, He reveals to us His personal attributes, what He delights in, what He detests and, of course, He reveals who His Son is and what He has done on our behalf. Every book reveals the author to some extent … and God has spoken so that we might know Him to be: perfect! powerful! holy! merciful! faithful! marvelous! Just to name a few. All you have to do is be in His Word—what will He reveal to you about Himself this fall?
In class, we reviewed the homework from last week: Lesson Two, Days 2 & 3 – God’s Creation, day by day, and the action words used to describe His work.
We did Lesson Two, Day 4 together in class – looking at the three-in-one nature of God. If you weren’t able to attend, be sure to do Day Four, #1 (p.11) yourself … it will bless you with just a little glimpse of the perfection of God’s Word, and therefore God Himself. You can see our work on #2 here—these cross references tell us what the entire Word of God tells us about the involvement of the Trinity in Creation.
Thanks very much to Jennifer Crocker, the first of our Science Babes to present. She did a fabulous job helping us think through examples in the world around us that reflect the 3-in-1 nature of our God (article, p.109)
Homework for this week is Lesson Two, Day 5. Do your best and we’ll discuss it in class on Thursday. Also, note that you don’t have to look up all the cross-references on p.16—see instructions on #4 p.15.
Can’t wait to be with you all again on Thursday!
Love,
Leeta
