Men of Honor, Wednesday, July 15th

Men of Honor is a group of men from PCC that come together at the church office on Wednesday mornings for breakfast, study and prayer. We begin promptly at 6:30 AM and end almost always promptly at 7:30. Currently we are reviewing the Book of Luke, several weeks ahead of our study of that same book on Sunday mornings. There is a suggested $4 donation for breakfast. We encourage you to read the text for the coming Wednesday prior to our meeting and consider some initial questions about the text.

Luke 14: 25- 35 (Discipleship)

Vs: 25  Who is Jesus speaking to?

Where was Jesus on His way to/What lay before Jesus?

Vs: 26  How is this statement to be taken?  Literally?  Figuratively?

What is the point Jesus is making?

Vs:27  What did mean to carry your cross as a criminal?

What is the working out of this in our lives?

Vs: 28  Building (a tower).   What is lacking in executing this project?

As disciples of Christ, how does this apply to us?

Vs: 31  King going out to battle.  What did the king do and decide?

As disciples of Christ, what implication does this have for us?

Vs: 34  Salt’s characteristic and value.  What is salt worth if it has lost its saltiness?

What meaning does this have for us as followers?
